Hisense unveils Android-powered UHD TVs

Hisense used this year’s CES to unveil new Android-powered UHD TVs supporting native resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Running Android 4.2, the H9 will come with 85-inch and 75-inch models, while the H8c will be available in 65-inch, 55-inch and 50-inch models. Both series will include SMART TV features like Netflix, Vudu HD Movies, Amazon Instant Video, Pandora, Chrome, YouTube, and are Google Play certified.

As part of the purchase, users also get Bluetooth 3D glasses, RF remote with NFC, and Smart Interaction capabilities including voice and gesture controls. The TVs sport four HDMI inputs, three USB ports, Wi-Fi connectivity, Dolby Digital + DSP audio process, Merlin Air Mouse and smart remote controls.

Hisense’s new UHD models will be available in the U.S. in the third quarter of 2014.
